The highest elegance - platinum
Platinum is one of the world's most valuable metals and is valued for its extreme corrosion resistance and durability.
Platinum jewellery is a type of jewellery that has recently gained a lot of popularity. Platinum-plated silver is silver covered with a thin layer of platinum, which increases resistance to corrosion and tarnishing and ensures durability of jewellery.
Covering silver with a thin layer of platinum makes jewellery more resistant to damage, which allows you to enjoy it for a long time.
By covering platinum with rhodium, we get a brighter colour and a very high light reflectance of 73-75%. In addition, rhodium on hard platinum will be even more durable.
From 2021, Artipol uses platinum plating before rhodium plating in some models where, for technological reasons, hardening the silver before assembling the stone was pointless.
Platinum jewellery - elegant and fashionable
Platinum-plated sterling silver has a shiny and delicate appearance that suits a variety of styles and occasions. Platinum jewellery can take many forms, from subtle necklaces and bracelets to decorative earrings and rings.
Pay attention to the quality of platinum jewellery
Insufficient quality of platinum plating can affect the durability of jewellery. Therefore, before buying platinum-plated jewellery, it is worth making sure that the manufacturer uses high-quality platinum and performs the plating in a professional manner
.
Platinum-plated jewellery is an elegant and durable choice for people who are looking for jewellery with a unique look and quality
Platinum silver is a material that is relatively easy to produce, but the end result is very elegant and unique. Plating silver with a layer of platinum is one of the most popular ways to achieve a "platinum" look in jewellery.
Platinum is valued in the jewellery industry because it is resistant to rusting, corrosion and mechanical damage. In combination with silver, it creates the perfect material for jewellery that is elegant and durable.
Prestige at a reasonable price
Platinum-plated silver can have different thicknesses of platinum - the thicker the layer, the greater the resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. However, the layer is usually very thin, which makes platinum jewellery more affordable than jewellery made entirely of platinum.
Platinum-plated jewellery can be embellished with various stones, such as diamonds, sapphires or rubies, which adds an even more elegant look. Platinum-plated jewellery can also take various forms, from simple and elegant shapes to more decorative and sophisticated ones.
It is worth remembering that platinum-plated jewellery requires the same care and maintenance as any other jewellery. Contact with chemicals should be avoided so as not to damage the platinum layer. It is also recommended that you clean your jewellery regularly to maintain its original brilliance.
Platinum plating is performed using the PLATUNA® N1 galvanic bath of the German company UMICORE. We apply a layer of pure platinum with a bright, white colour and high hardness of about 500 HV (4-5 on the Mohs scale). In our workshop, we apply platinum using the galvanic method using direct current. We apply a voltage of 2 volts for 4.5 minutes. This allows to lay a layer of platinum and create a barrier that cuts off silver from contact with oxygen. This completely protects silver against any changes, because platinum is chemically very inactive.
At ARTIPOL, we make platinum-plated rings, platinum-plated earrings, platinum-plated pendants, platinum-plated bracelets, platinum-plated necklaces and platinum-plated chains, then we apply rhodium by electroplating. We get a shiny, bright, noble surface, very hard, scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic, which means that it does not cause allergic reactions.
Platinum jewellery is the perfect choice for people who are looking for elegant and durable jewellery, but do not want to pay a fortune for jewellery made entirely of platinum. Platinum silver is a corrosion-resistant and damage-resistant material that can be easily adapted to a variety of styles and occasions
